Your baby's own Day Master

Enter the birth date, time and city. Meet your baby's Four Pillars and Day Master, drawn as a baby webtoon character, with a keepsake card to share or print.

Most zodiac sites stop at the year animal. Saju reads a child from the day they were born.

Baby's birthday

Most parents know it to the minute (it's on the hospital card). It sets the hour pillar, the last two of the eight characters.

Nothing about your baby is stored or sent to us: the chart is worked out in this browser. Only the city search asks our server for matching place names.

Born in 2026 or 2027?

2026 is a Fire Horse year (丙午) and 2027 a Fire Goat year (丁未), both counted from Ipchun in early February. Each guide has the dates, what saju reads in each month's babies and the old stories about those years.

FAQ

Baby saju questions

Does a baby have a Day Master?

Yes. In saju (the Korean Four Pillars, BaZi in Chinese) everyone born has four pillars: year, month, day and hour. The top character of the day pillar is the Day Master, the element that stands for the person. It's fixed at birth, so a newborn has one from the first day.

Why isn't my baby's zodiac animal the main thing?

The animal most sites give is the year branch, one character of eight. Saju reads a person from the Day Master and the balance of all eight, and treats the year pillar as the family scene. Two babies born in the same year share an animal; babies born on different days rarely share a Day Master.

Why do you need the time and the city?

The day pillar changes at midnight in true solar time at the birthplace, and the hour pillar is two hours long. The city sets the time zone and the longitude for that. The year and month turn at solar terms (Ipchun, around Feb 4, starts the year), so a baby born near one needs the exact time.

We don't know the exact birth time.

Then the chart has three pillars instead of four. The Day Master only changes for births between 10 pm and 2 am, so for most babies it stays the same.

Is anything about my baby stored?

No. The chart is worked out in your browser. The city search asks our server for place names, and the keepsake image is drawn from the Day Master, the year and the element counts only. The name on the printable card never leaves your browser.

Is this a prediction about my child?

No. Saju is a centuries-old way of describing a birth moment with images from nature. We retell those images for fun and keepsakes. They aren't a forecast or advice, and every child writes their own story.
